Brandenburg Concerto No 5 in D, BWV 1050
Suite in B for Flute and Strings, BWV 1067
Brandenburg Concerto No 2 in F, BWV 1047
An all Bach programme of the most celebrated of his orchestral works including the Brandenburg Concertos No 2 & 5 with his Suite for Flute and Strings and the Concerto for Oboe and Violin.
JS Bach showcased the brilliance of his musicians with the ‘humble offering’ of the Brandenburg Concertos, which were written in 1721 for his patron Christian Ludwig, the Margrave of Brandenburg. The programme also includes the concerto in D minor for oboe and violin as well as the delightful suite in B minor for flute and strings.
Led by oboist Victoria Brawn (Winner of the Isle of Wight International Oboe competition), and virtuoso violinist Dave Le Page, DOLCE MUSICA is a group of the countries finest chamber musicians. Joined by the harpsichordist David Gordon, flautist Laura Jellico and trumpeter Gavin Wells, this evening will prove to be much more than a humble offering.
PLEASE NOTE: Concession price of £10 is for Children under 18 or with a student card.
