A decade since the last album ‘It’s All In The Letter That Broke You Down’, January 18th will see the release of new material from Southports Bobhowla (aka Howard Doupe).

Recorded & produced by Rod Jones (Idlewild) & featuring contributions from both Rod & Mikey Reid (Man Of Moon), the double A side 7” Sail Down The Water/Music Keeps Calling, gets its official single launch at 81 Renshaw Street.

After playing extensively & predominantly as a solo artist, including support for Puressence & Mark Morriss (The Bluetones) and several festivals across the North West, this gig sees Bobhowla in a rare but much welcomed full band mode.

Expect heartfelt harmonies, melancholic melodies with a strong Northern narrative borrowing from and adding to longstanding blueprints of artists at both ends of the M62.

The band will allow Doupe to flesh out & add muscle to both old & new material, promising to inject swagger and a punch to his celebratory choruses yet maintain true to the fragility & brittle fabric of those lovelorn laments.
