City of Light Lantern Workshops
Book a workshop place and take part in helping to create the beautiful floating cityscape
Come and get involved and create your own lantern building that will become part of the City of Light Installation. Build your own hut, tent, house, block of flats or even palace lantern if you want!
Our artists will be on hand to guide and advise you throughout the process
You can work alone, in a pair or a small group to create your lantern
Making time: Small scale lanterns, allow 2-3 hours. Larger/more detailed lanterns, allow 4 to 6 hours.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential.
Participants leave their lanterns to dry and have lights installed after the workshop has finished. The lanterns will be kept to form part of the City of Light installation on Sefton Park Boating Lake (21-24 February)
After the event has taken place, your lantern will be available for collection during the following week if you wish to keep it.
