Ethan Johns is a record producer, engineer, mixer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He has worked with artists including Kings of Leon, Paul McCartney, Ray LaMontagne, Kaiser Chiefs, Rufus Wainwright, The Vaccines, Laura Marling, The Staves, and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
His solo career is just as impressive with 4 albums under his belt and a fifth on the way, his unique approach to folk-rock has not gone unnoticed. 'Black Eyed Dolls' will be available this August, recorded over two weeks in a barn at the bottom of his garden in the dead of winter. It is at once immensely personal but also asks bigger, more esoteric, questions... What else do you expect from a record informed by an obscure text from 1616 about spiritual transformation?
