Ethan Johns plus Special Guest Robert Vincent
Ethan Johns is a record producer, engineer, mixer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He has worked with artists including Kings of Leon, Paul McCartney, Ray LaMontagne, Kaiser Chiefs, Rufus Wainwright, The Vaccines, Laura Marling, The Staves, and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
His solo career is just as impressive with 4 albums under his belt and a fifth on the way, his unique approach to folk-rock has not gone unnoticed. 'Black Eyed Dolls' will be available this August, recorded over two weeks in a barn at the bottom of his garden in the dead of winter. It is at once immensely personal but also asks bigger, more esoteric, questions... What else do you expect from a record informed by an obscure text from 1616 about spiritual transformation?
Ethan will be performing with a stripped down trio for this intimate evening.
To say Robert Vincent is a local boy done good is simultaneously correct but also doesn't quite manage to capture the magnitude of what he has managed to achieve in such a short space of time. After releasing his debut album 'Life In Easy Steps' in 2013 to extensive radio play and rave reviews His sophomore 'I'll Make The Most Of My Sins' went on to win best album at the Americana Music Awards and saw Rob propelled into the spotlight closing the one off BBC Four comeback of The Old Grey Whistle Test.
