The Great Northern SKA Festival 2018

The GNSKA Festival is now in its third year and firmly established as not only the North's Biggest SKA Festival, but one of the UK's leading SKA events. The event has steadily grown over the last couple of years and this year the event will be bigger and better than ever with several 90 minute concert sets. Here is what we have instore for 2018. Our Biggest line up yet!

UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Astro, Micky Virtue.
Headlining this year's festival we have the legendary UB40.
UB40 have had 3 UK No 1s, 17 UK top 10s, 39 UK top 40s, and spent a phenominal 238 weeks in the UK top 40 charts. Need we say more?

Bad Manners featuring Buster Bloodvessel
Bad Manners are an English two-tone and ska band led by frontman Buster Bloodvessel. Early appearances included Top of The Pops and the live film documentary, Dance Craze.
They were at their most popular during the early 1980s, during a period when other ska revival bands such as Madness, the Specials and the Selecter filled the charts. Bad Manners spent 111 weeks in the UK Singles Chart between 1980 and 1983, and they also achieved chart success with their first four studio albums with Gosh It's ... Bad Manners, Loonee Tunes! and Ska 'n' B being their biggest hits.

Lionstar
Lionstar are a Reggae/Rock/World Fusion band from south-west UK, that have played alongside UB40, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Aswad, Bad Manners, Soul II Soul, Happy Mondays to name just a few.

Manchester SKA Foundation
MSF are firmly established as one of the UK's leading SKA tribute bands playing regualr sell out gigs all over the country. Frontman Lee Hollister is the face of MSF.

Esperanza
One of Scotland's brightest talents Esperanza have been playing the GNSKA from the first event in 2016. Esperanza always bring a huge following from Scotland to the event.

SKA Father (DJ Set)
Phil Eccleston. The pope from Stoke knows how to woo his following. Another ever present at the event from 2016.
