The Sefton Park Palm House Preservation Trust is delighted to invite you to our annual fundraising dinner. The Henry Yates Thompson dinner is the highlight of our calendar, and this year’s theme of the Enchanted Garden will be our most awe-inspiring yet. The jewel of Sefton Park will be bathed in illuminations, soundscapes and invigorated with performances.

On the evening of Saturday 13th October, we will captivate our guests as we transform our spectacular venue into a dream-like version, with just a hint of whimsy to make the night truly unforgettable. If you have never stepped into an enchanted garden, you’re in for a mesmerising experience.
The Henry Yates Thompson dinner is named after the man whose generosity allowed the Palm House to become a reality. In 1896, the Liverpool publishing entrepreneur gifted £10,000 to construct the ‘great conservatory’ of Sefton Park for the benefit of the people of Liverpool. The Palm House with its exotic plants and statues, became the centrepiece of Sefton Park and is now a grade II* listed building.

Our annual dinner is a celebration of the finer things in life, and we are excited to spoil you with a three-course meal by an award- winning chef from Dine, botanical cocktails to accompany each decadent course and all topped off with absolutely sumptuous wine. There will be a programme of first class entertainment. The magical aesthetic of the garden will be reflected in the faces of lyrical and classical performers for your delight. It will be a celebration of the diversity of the Palm House and its place in the city.

To commemorate the generosity of our original benefactor, we would like to invite you to join us in raising £10,000 at our fundraising dinner to support our Life Long Learning Programme. Your support is greatly appreciated, and we cannot wait to see you at our Enchanted Garden Dinner.

If you have any specific dietary requirements please call the Palm House on 0151 726 9304 by Thursday 27 September.
