Liverpool Irish Festival (LIF) - bringing Liverpool and Ireland closer together through arts and culture - is back once more for the 16th instalment this October. Through Liverpool's reputation as a vibrant and cultural city, the annual event focuses on celebrating the Irish contribution to Liverpool's heritage and identity, and the important part Irish culture continues to play in our city.
 
Liverpool Irish Festival believes Ireland’s stories, told creatively across forms, develops social capital that helps to unite communities. As an organisation we can be relied upon to promote inclusivity, recognise difference and provide access to unique, ambitious and challenging work that celebrates Irish culture and creates enjoyable, thought provoking experiences.
 
The Festival includes performances, participation, entertainment and education in Irish traditions, music, literature, theatre, and art reflect our Irish communities ever-growing significance in defining Liverpool as a great European city. 
 
Expect events such as the In:Visible Women, our Family Day and Family Ceili; the Celtic Animation Film Festival, contributions from IndieCork, séisíuns, performances, talks, tours and more besides to get everyone involved in celebrating Liverpool's many powerful links with the Emerald Isle.
