Liverpool Passion tells the story of Jesus in a unique outdoor theatre performance, where the audience will be immersed in a live retelling of the traditional Easter story.

An outdoor theatre event bringing the traditional Easter story to life.

A production by the people of Liverpool, for the people of Liverpool. Once more, our city breaks the boundaries and comes together to create something outstanding!

Set with the backdrop of the historic St George's Hall and St John’s gardens, the passion play with tell the traditional Easter story by guiding the audience through the story of Jesus - from the garden of gethsemane to the cross, and finally, the resurrection.

Liverpool has a long tradition of outstanding outdoor events, the giants visited us for the final time in 2019, and 2020 - The Liverpool Passion will continue what has become a wonderful tradition for our city.

Dean Sullivan (you may know him as Jimmy Corkhill from Brookside) will be playing Pontius Pilate and Bishop Paul Bayes is playing Barabbas.

The performance will take place on William Brown St on the 10th April at 12.00 and again at 3.15pm.

The performance lasts 90 mins.

It is a fairly realistic retelling of the Easter Story involving a re-enactment of the crucifixion so there are scenes that younger children and some others may find distressing.

This is a standing only performance, people who need a seat should contact us to discuss requirements. Email us at enquiries@liverpoolpassion.com

There will be a BSL interpreter and there will be live screens for the performance

For all accessibility needs please call the Ticket Quarter booking line on 0344 800 410 to discuss your requirements.
