The inaugural Liverpool Theatre Festival - Entertainment in the Open Air, is coming to St Luke's Bombed-Out Church from 12-20 September 2020. With 12 productions over 9 days, this exciting new festival includes live performances of musical theatre, drama, comedy, cabaret, and children’s shows.
Festivalgoers can be reassured they will be attending a covid safe environment. Capacity has been reduced to ensure socially distanced seating; hand sanitiser stations; temperature checks before entry; masks will be compulsory when moving round the venue; and visitors are encouraged to attend in their social bubble groups. The team at St Luke’s have been successfully running a covid-safe café/bar on site and will provide theatregoers with premium drinks and fresh pizza for attendees, drinks can be purchased on a special app and taken to ticketholders at their seat.
Liverpool is a wonderful pool of talent. A lot of thought has gone into programming the very best productions to suit the festival and a fantastic line-up of Liverpool based performers and production companies are eager to take to the stage providing live entertainment and to welcome audiences. All shows are one-act performances of 60-75 minutes to reduce movement in the venue.
