This is simply not to be missed!
Funky house was an incredible genre of music at a time when clubbers looked for an alternative to rave, hard house and pop..
Each generation has its own sound but I would argue and so would many others, that funky house was by far the friendliest vibe. It was disco on acid but in a cool way. Funky house was not only about dancing, singing & hugging lots of strangers that soon became great friends, it became a way of life. Funky house took the rave scene to the next level & into the commercial clubs which allowed many more people to experience house music.
You could go to a funky house club alone, not know anybody but by the time the peak time tunes dropped you were surrounded by hundreds of friends.
Funky house was good for your mind, body & certainly the soul.
Ten years of total bliss and and incredible music which will never be beaten or forgotten.
Manchester has always led the way with music from the Hacienda to several iconic underground house venues. Sadly those days have passed. Those venues and nights are not around anymore, but the people still are.
The millenium saw an explosion in the scene with tracks such as Higher & Higher, Sweet Thing, In the Music, I Still Want You, Yes, Its Yours, Believe, Can't Get Enough, Feelin Love, The Light, Rise, Home, Finally, Bodyswerve, Race for Survival, Heard it All Before, Wish I Didn't Miss You Anymore, All Night, Come On Over, Shine On Me, Lola's Theme, Nobodys Business, Can't Get Away. In the mid 00's followed tunes like Weekend, Uninvited, Put Em High, Make a Move On Me, So Many Times, Fade, At Night, Love You Feel, Dancin, Little More Love, Can't Get Enough, Sexshooter.
Later years saw tunes like No Stress, No Promises, Writers Block, Baditude, Bad Girl, Turn My Life Around, Sunset to Sunrise, Love Has Gone, Last Night, Wow, Show Me Be, Day & Night, and Standin In The Way Of Control,
