[short_description]
From its opening line, ‘I am on a lonely road and I am travelling,’ to the introspection of the ‘dark cafe days’ of its closing moments, Joni Mitchell’s 1971 classic album, Blue, was one of the first truly confessional singer-songwriter albums.
Perri and Neil Quartet perform the complete Blue album, in the year of its 50th anniversary, with a beautiful re-interpretation that is true to the original, but also draws on a myriad of styles including Jazz, Latin, Soca and Rock. The poignant part played by the Blue album in Perri’s life, is also interweaved between the songs.
