IN ASSOCIATION WITH CAPITAL - LIVERPOOL’S NO.1 HIT MUSIC STATION
Today Fusion Festival is excited to reveal the festival's biggest line up yet including two huge festival exclusives. The hit music stars playing this year’s festival were announced this morning on Capital Liverpool by Capital Breakfast’s Adam, Gemma & Dylan.
Pop sensations Little Mix headline Saturday night with their only UK festival appearance this year. The UK’s most successful live act, Take That, will then close Sunday night, bringing their full incredible 90 minute live show - described as a ‘visual feast’ - to the banks of the river Mersey. Fusion Festival will take place at Otterspool Promenade this September 2nd and 3rd.
Preceding Little Mix on Saturday September 2nd will be UK rapper, singer and songwriter Tinie Tempah, ‘Love Me Again’ singer John Newman, one of the UK’s hottest new talents Louisa Johnson and X Factor favourites 5 After Midnight.
Little Mix say “It’s amazing to be headlining Fusion Festival with absolute legends, Take That. We can’t wait to see our Mixers up in Liverpool, you better be ready for an awesome show, we are pulling out all the stops! We already know that this is going to be one of our highlights of 2017.”
Sunday’s headliners Take That will be joined on September 3rd by pop songstress Ella Henderson, guitar pop four-piece The Vamps, neo-soul singer/songwriter JP Cooper and DJ and producer Jax Jones.
Take That say “We love Liverpool and can’t wait to headline Fusion Festival this September. It’s going to be the best end to the summer, playing our full show to the crowds - it’s going to be a night to remember!”
Little Mix picked up the award for 'Best British Single' at The BRIT Awards earlier this year, after opening the show with a sensational, jaw dropping performance of their number one smash 'Shout Out To My Ex'. The world’s biggest girl group are currently on tour with Ariana Grande in the US.
Take That are one of the UK’s most successful acts with a career spanning three decades. The band set the record for the fastest selling tour in UK history when 1.3 million tickets were snapped up for their Progress Live Tour in less than 24 hours. In the UK alone, Take That have achieved seven UK number one albums, 12 number one singles, sold over 45 million records, won five Ivor Novello Awards, and eight BRIT Awards. Internationally, they have scored an incredible 54 number one hits and 35 number one albums.
